The storage type air source heat pump water heating unit is an improved air source heat pump water heating unit with evaporative cooling recovery and energy storage function. The unit can provide hot water supply for customers all year round and supply free cooling for customers in summer by recovering evaporative cooling capacity of the unit. In addition, the storage device of the unit can also make full use of low valley electricity storage at night to reduce the peak-to-valley difference of the power grid.

The proposed storage type air source heat pump hot water unit is of great significance to improve the problems of energy quality mismatch, serious pollution and uneconomic operation of traditional hot water preparation methods such as coal-fired boilers and electric boilers, as well as the problems of conventional air source heat pump hot water units that do not have evaporative cooling recovery.

In order to study the operating characteristics of the storage type air source heat pump hot water unit, an experimental prototype of the storage type air source heat pump hot water unit was designed and assembled in this paper, and the operating characteristics of the unit were tested in different operating modes and under different working conditions.
